I do not know if my stay in Bantayan can be considered as a vacation, me and my unit went there to train the Brgy. Tanod's basic disaster rescue training and of course a "little" army modules. But I can't help to appreciate the beauty of the place.

Bantayan Islands is geographically in the center of the Philippines. It is located at the northwestern side of Cebu and northeastern of Negros Occidental. It is a town of Cebu and is about 80 miles from Cebu City.

Going to Bantayan is easy and fairly affordable. If you go by bus, you need to go to the North Bus Terminal ride a Ceres or SunRise Bus going to Hagnaya the trip is around 2 and half hours and will cost you 131.00 Php. Once you get to Hagnaya you need to take a ferry ride which will take around 1 1/2 hours and cost 170 Php.
